Being mother of a toddler and pursuing a profession is a challenge. Different roles in the family demand different responsibilities which multiplies the challenges.

My toddler is apple of the eye for everyone in the family and everyone has a different opinion on how he should be raised. It had become more difficult because of my mother-in-law’s inflexible nature. She always found a fault or something to complaint about all the time whether it is my schedule or the way I raise my son. She is an over perfectionist and a cleanliness freak.

My husband could never take a stand even when she hogged underserved credit. Thus, I did not feel loved. In fact, I felt neglected, at the same time I also felt like I did not have space in the house.

When I met her first, I had a lot off mood swings, I did not even like talking to people. Everything seemed to irritate me. I close my eyes and I can see a little 5 years old me getting ready for school early in the morning. My family life was never at peace and so even my mind was not at peace. There were constant fights happening at my house. No, I don’t want to give my exams. Anyway, I am going to fail. What is the point?
I called my parents and told them to pick me up from my college hostel and let me take a drop in my career.
My friend took me to Dr. Anal Mehta. The conversation that we had, drastically changed the state that I was in. From anxious to relaxed. From nervous to confident.
I called my parents, told them not to come. Gave my exams and passed with above average result.
Then my train got back on track.

I approached Dr. Anal Mehta again because I was in a dilemma on what to do with my life? How to go ahead about my career? Whether to go back working as a chef in one of the most prestigious hotels in town or to continue being a foreign language trainer where growing was difficult but earning opportunities were great? I was very much confused because I was equally passionate for both the fields. Journey that I started with Dr. Anal in December 2017, took me from Confusion to Clarity.

I chose to pursue to be a Foreign Language Trainer.

The next challenge was to pass Level 2 exams which I couldn’t even after multiple trials. So, I directly enrolled in Level 3. This needs special attention, planning and preparation. These exams need tremendous focus, sharpness and confidence whereas my state was completely opposite: nervous, anxious, and unfocused. The key was strategic planning by identifying weaker links and strengthening it step by step with was made easy by her specialised techniques of Hypnosis and NLP.

People always said I was a girl of very jolly nature – the happy go lucky kind. But no one ever saw my pain, my sufferings; the emotional and mental turmoil that was eating me up.

I have been fortunate enough to attend a good school, the best days of my life that seem to have passed in a blink of an eye.

I was not ready for what my adulthood was holding for me.

It was when I entered the college that reality dawned and I realised this was not what I wanted to do but it was too late I thought. Everything I loved; dancing, art, designing; was nowhere to be seen and I was surrounded with things and people who were total strangers.

I was attending classes but did not understand a single thing being taught because it was just not something I loved. I felt like the dumbest person. My self-esteem, my confidence hit so low that I started skipping classes trying to hide from the world until Anal Ma’am who is also my teacher found the lost me.

I was not a type of girl who could go into depression (or so I had thought). I didn’t not have the slightest idea that I was suffering from one. I was in desperate need of someone to show me this reality and she did. Going for counseling was not an easy decision, I had to accept the reality, the decision that I had made and where it bought me. At that time when I looked in the mirror, I saw a girl that I never knew, a girl who was lost. Finally, I decided to go for a counseling session to Ma’am.

We worked on my fear and my past, I was finally talking and someone was listening, I wasn’t alone anymore. It took me 4-5 session to get a grip of the present, she guided me to visit the past and resolve it, she showed me new ways to come out of my zone and try and take my career and interest parallel. Her workshops showed me a technique to forget the dark past and see colours in life. In no time I started to dance again and performed in my College functions. While attending the workshops I met people like me in the same state and I understood I was not alone. We got a chance to open up to each other because we could relate to each other. All I know now is that if life gives you lemons you should know how to make a lemonade out of it, you should put in efforts to do the same, no one will serve it you.
